Mark Norfolk, President of Fabrisonic, recently had a video interview with Jim Anderton on Engineering.com.  They chatted about Ultrasonic Additive Manufacturing (UAM) and how it’s different from other forms of additive such as low temperatures.  Mark touches on how the process works and some of the advantages such as embedding electronics to measure strain or load.
