Selective Reinforcement

UAM enables the selective reinforcement of new or existing parts through either adding stiffer material in specific locations or embedding stiffer material into monolithic or multi-material parts. For example, Fabrisonic has embedded MMC tapes and fibers into aluminum parts, or reinforced lightweight and ductile parts with stainless steel or other stiff metals. This minimizes weight and cost while maximizing stiffness, as needed for your application.
